Uninstalling Clout

There are two recommended ways to Uninstall Clout:

  1. Start the Control Panel by selecting the Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel, and then selecting Add or Remove Programs. Select Clout on the list of programs, and then click the Remove button;
  2. Use the Uninstall Clout option set up when you installed Clout; by default this is available on the Start menu > Programs > Chocolate Octopus > Clout > Uninstall Clout.

Whichever option you choose, you must be logged in as Administrator to do this, and please bear in mind that you will be uninstalling Clout for all users on this machine.

If you are running Windows XP, you may be able to run the Add or Remove Programs part of Control Panel by running it as if you were Administrator. See the "Running 'As if' You were Administrator" section of the Install page for some tips. However, this only seems to work if you view the Control Panel in 'Classic Mode' and of course, you need to Shift + Right-click the 'Add or Remove Programs' item.
